That tubing is especially made for intakes. It can withstand heat. There's metal inside the plastic tubing. Hopefully, it will last a few years. Otherwise, it's only $20 each tube.
Dude, I doubt it'd cost much more than $50 bucks to get those guys at Shea to just weld a nice metal tube for you. Take it home, paint it with the heat-resistand matte black (I used 1200 degree resistant paint on my exhaust tips - it would work ), and you have yourself a GREAT looking mod, as opposed to a really nice one But its ok, John - I only criticize when I really like something

Not on the tubing. but seriously thinking about doing the headliner. heard bad things about upholstery dye tho....

bring me bring me. hehehe. those bends are crazy hard to get into. need something a little flexible yet hard enough for clamps especially at the m5 duct and airbox.

Dude, I got the sh!t in my car, I can stop by in the morn - I'll be done with work like 8-8:30AM and figure back in Bk about 9am. Dunno if you'd be up that early, but if so, I do wanna stop by and ask your thoughts on the CF fabric, cuz I was told that upholstering steering wheel trim and window control panels in this would be basically impractical...

Even if you get a g-tec box, you don't have a baseline run without that intake set-up.....perhaps a baseline run before and after scoops?

If you can't get dyno or g-tec, just watch the RPM idling between 1500 to 4500 in 3rd gear and see how fast it does (faster better). it is free to test but I admit it is hard to catch or also with a OBD-2 tester will help to see how is the air flow measures (higher flow better).

You should line the duct with radiant barrier. That will keep heat from the engine from fully going thru.
