Judging by a few of the comments so far yes. I am stock for the most part kind of guy on the exterior myself. I put money into performance. But remember you paid for the car do with it what you want.

In any case, it seems like BMW is going towards that direction regarding DRL as well. Prelim. report is indicating that the facelifted 7 series is going to sport some kind of strip LED DRL on the headlights.
you're right......

But to many people are doing it....If its built into the car then ok, but its an add-on and its done way late so it looks like BMW copying Audi. I wouldnt be able to put that on my car without being embarrassed everytime I saw an audi.

If you are one of these drivers who always drives with their fog lights on, (even when it is not foggy), then yes this would be the next logical step of "evolution" for you and perhaps you fit the end-user profile for this product.

However...

You would not take your BMW badges off and replace them with Audi badges would you?

Unfortunately, I am starting to see more E60's with these stupid 'Audiesque' DRL's; or as Clarkson refers to them "council-estate Christmas lights".

Almost as bad as an A3 driver I saw with angel-eyes and a shark-fin! Even Miss Percy was amused at this!

But if it floats your boat and you can justify chaving-up your E60, all the best. Maybe a Quattro badge on the boot lid next ey Skipper?

It's a new EU regulation. Car companies will need to implement these led stripes in order to be approved by the EU.

Even Kia comes with those Audi style LED's. Enough said.

Not sure what that's suppose to be said Mr. High and mighty, but it looks like EU's regulation probably does have something to do with it. This is a pic of the new 6 coming out with what appears to be TWO strips of LEDs...

It's kind of wtf to me, and those can't be fog lights...

First of all I think you need to re-read my post. I asked if anyone had done this because I wanted to see what it looks like. This does not mean I WANT to do it.

Secondly, everyone has their own taste, what may seem "chavy" to you may look absolutely amazing to the next person.

Some very unconstructive posts in this thread. It's not a thread to bash Audi style DRL, I just wanted to know if anyone had implemented this 'mod'

Anyway for all your people that don't like the Audi style DRL, it looks like thats the way BMW will be going in the future

Personally, I like the DRLs on Audis, especially on the A5, as well as loving my BMW angel eyes. It will be a sad day when BMW put this LED strip across the range.
