Hi - Does anyone know if I can downsize safely to a 17" or 18" wheel, thus getting a tire with higher profile? My 08 550i Sport was shipped with Double Spoke 172s (19 inch). Any recommendations? TireRack does not yet have fitment posted for this model. Thanks.....

I'm sure it's OK, you should check your manual for recommended sizes. But, why?

It can easily be done. At tire rack input your car as a 2008 528i or 2007 530i instead of a 550i and you will get many options.

However I will trade you my 124's plus cash if you want.

No problems, in Europe the 550i has Style 245 (17") wheels as standard spec.
