What are some high quality 6.5" Component Speakers to use in these custom door pockets / enclosures?

Alpines? Focals? Rockford Fosgates? German Maestro?

I doubt I will get any use out of the door pockets anyway, so might as well make use of that space and fit in some nice high-end 6.5" woofers!

Well, since I don't use the door pockets, I decided to take the plunge and go with the Jenhert door pockets, which will house 2 x 6.5" woofers each side.



Jenhert will supply me with the entire speaker upgrade pack, which includes:

FRONT:

Pair of custom Jenhert Door Pockets
4 x 6.5" High-end Woofers (2 each side)
2 x 4" High-end Woofers
2 x 1" High-end Tweeters

Sub-seat:

2 x 8" Jenhert Woofers

Rear Parcel Shelf:

2 x 4" High-end Woofers
2 x 1" High-end Tweeters

For the pre-amp sound processor, I will use an Audison Bit One processor.

I will be powering the front stage with an Alpine PDX-4.100 Digital Amp (Bridged to be 2 x 200W @ 4 ohms).

For the rear, and sub-seat speakers, I will use another Alpine PDX-4.100 Digital Amp (4 x 100W @ 4 ohms).

Once I've installed these, I will then install a Dension Gateway 500 to replace the CDC in the glovebox for iPod integration with the iDrive menu system.

unless you have the L7 speaker upgrade you are going to find the regular amp will not have enough juice to drive these types of speakers due the difference to sensitivity

bruce miranda went through this with the bsw upgrade

e60s without L7 are the worst to upgrade in the stereo arena
