Does anyone ever ditch the run flats? If so, do you get a credit?

I was wondering if anyone ever ditches the run flat tires? I would prefer non run flat tires, but what to do with the original run flats? BMW does not give a credit if you swap out the run flats at time of purchase, correct?
If you don't want run flats are there any options other than just eating the cost?
