It really matters on how you use the detector and your tolerance for alerts. For the most part I am not ALWAYS driving my car like I just stole it. And from my previous experience with detectors constantly alerting to radar, I become immune to the alerts because there are too many. The Bel/Escort has a "marker" function that you can remove that specific alert/exact frequency/location from alerting if you know its a trash radar.
On the V1 advertisments it says something like if your life depended on it, you would want to know every instance of radar whether its a threat or not. And it had a photo of a F-16 in it. I am sure thats true, if someone is launching missles at me I would want every alert.
All of the top detectors track multiple radar sources at the same time, and have adequate range; its just the user interface that really different. There is no wrong choice.
