My Ride: 2008 Space Gray 550i, Light Poplar Wood, Anthracite Head Liner, Sport Package, Sport Automatic Transmission, Cold Weather Package, Front Ventilated Comfort Seats in Black Nasca Leather, NAV, HUD, Active Steering, Comfort Access, Night Vision, Lane Deviation Warning, Active Cruise Control, Heated Rear Seats, Folding Rear Seats, Power Shade w/ Rear Side-Shades, Rear Air Bags, Logic 7, HD Radio, Sirius Satellite Radio, iPod/USB Adapter. Car in BMW Body Shop, estimated completion 01/24/07.
These technologies are discussed a lot at some other bimmer forums, but I don't see much discussion by E60 drivers here.

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny.
2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter.
Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.
My cheap ass Cobra has gotten me out of untold potential jams. I could have probably bought at least 100 of them with the money I have saved on potential tickets.

Almost everyone I know uses Valentine 1 with a some Escort users here and there. There actually have been plenty of threads here discussing radar detectors.
And I don't use laser jammers as they're illegal in CA.

Running the Road Angel Professional on mine . Automatically updates new radar traps etc... through the mobile phone network . No more plugging into the pc for updates

Don't need one - the local radio stations in Germany broadcast a traffic and radar trap report every 15-30 mins and announce where they are The RDS signal cuts into the CD (MP3) so I don't even have to be listening to the radio

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
I was seriously considering the Valentine but when Beltronics/Escort came out with the GPS enabled device, that was the one I decided upon. My Beltronics GX-65 was was more expensive than the Valentine but the red light, traffic cameras and known speed traps GPS function made it worth it for me.
