Probably a newb question, but I couldn't find the answer via "search". I'm getting new wheels for my '08 535xi, which has the standard blah 17's. Will I need to buy new TPS sensors or can I re-use the originals? How easy/hard is it to install new or reinstall the originals?

They are easy to uninstall and install.

:l

Are transferable onto your new wheels.

Just make sure you have TPMS and not FTM.

I was a bit confused by this myself.

But eventually found out I had FTM and not TPMS so there was no need to transfer sensors since there were not.

'08's have TPMS ... when reinstalling them from your original wheels to new wheels you may need the stem kit that includes new rubber gaskets. I recall them listing at about $8 each. But if your installer is careful they may not be necessary. Be sure the stem seals are installed in the new wheels in the proper manner - or the stems may leak no matter how tightly they are fastened! Ask me how I know
