Brabus matey?, the pre/lci had xenons, the last two pics, top is halogen, bottom is bi-xenon which is the same as mine with adaptive lights.

... but all those 4 pics are LCI headlights ... based on the blinker style ... the bottom two pics are LCI halogen as the halogen on LCI uses projector that resemble a Xenon.

Take a look at this thread http://forums.5serie...fit-on-lci-e60/ ... so in a way the LCI halogen headlight is look like pre-LCI Xenon.
The different is on LCI w/ Xenon the inner/smaller round reflector are not in-use for hi-beam anymore.

Some ways to tell:
When the car starts up, if your lights are on, they will level up and down if the car has Xenons. This is true for pre and post LCI models.
When the lights start up only, you will be able to see a bluish hue fading to a solid white, then to a yellowish glow. Light output on a wall when HID are new is largely the same as the light output of a halogen light with a projector.
All Xenon lights regardless of post or preLCI have writing on them that says Xenon (on the projector's shroud) or Dynamic Xenon.

i have the ugly halogen lights (2007) and i really want to upgrade to the lci projector since i keep reading that i wont have to re-program the car and i would not have any error codes. now is this correct?????? and my question to you guys is, is it worth it??? and how much does it cost???

It's worth it.
Stay tuned, we have a few sets coming in 2-3 days, we should be able to give you nice photos of the front and back and also upgrade pictures.
