DMS remap for 645i

I was speaking with some guy from BMW in Singapore recently. He said that it is not possible to detect exactly what was done to the ECU, but they could tell that a remap was done.
It is very easy for them to detect when they get into your system. All they do is to check the number of software updates you have and if they find one extra, then thats it!!!
However, that being said, we have only one authorised dealer here in Singapore. Its easy for them to find out. You guys in the USA and Europe have got so many that it may take quite some investigating before BMW finds out. But then again, there's the database....

My 535d is DMS tuned. When the car broke down the BMW tech who came out said "probably another fuel pump" - so it's clearly a relatively common issue, and nothing to do with the mapping in my opinion - it's been fine since it was replaced -5000 "enthusiastic" miles
And if the mapping was the problem, we'd be hearing of higher levels of failures on mapped cars than not...

Mine is getting Done here in ILLINOIS tomorrow they have to remove the ECU and then they can complete the remapping. I will let you know they claim from 231hp to 260hp, I am hoping its a noticable difference. I will post results

Your car is a true sleeper in every sense of the term. Remapped and SC'ed.
I say you keep your car badged and have fun with the 545's and 550's.
