Can those members who have had some DMS 'black magic' applied to their car give me an idea of real world performance/economy difference from standard please...
I am seriously thinking about 'investing' in some DMS trickery (with forum discount!) but my concern is that i will part with the best part of 1k and after a couple of months I won't notice the difference anymore...
E.g. when i first drove the 535d it was awesome, now it's still powerful but it doesn't 'feel' as awesome -
Do you feel the same about your car post-remap, or is the boost in power always 'noticeable' like in a 'M' car?
and is the cost of the remap worth it in your opinion?
TIA

The cost of the remap is worth every penny and you wont regret it.
As far as the economy goes it depends on the lead in your right foot, boot it every where and yes your consumption will fall to around 20mpg, but then you didnt buy the 535 for its consumption otherwise youd be in a citroen 1.4 diesel :0)
You will get used to the extra oomp, just as i did with my M3 but you had to be in the right gear for the s54 engine to respond properly(all the grunt is at the top end hence 14mpg)with just a little prod of the LOUD pedal no matter what gear your in there will be a great big smile on your face as their is plenty of low down torque in abundance.
Big smile
I would like to know exactly what figures DMS actually achieve as i have seen
( i think on this forum ) 360bhp , after the 343bhp on my M3 that figure doesnt feel
that far away, as my 535d is a little heavier but feels as quick.

A guy posted some scanned pics of an mag article about testing a 535d dms but the scanning wasn't that good and the writing isn't so vizible.
PLS if someone has the pice of information pls post it again but with a slight increase in clarity.
Thank you alot in advance.

My Ride: E60 530d Sport - Carbon Black, Black Dakota Leather, Media Pack (satnav, bluetooth, CD changer), heated font seats, through load
I think it was difficult to tell after only a few days. You do get used to it very quickly. I guess the important thing is that I know it's different. There's no wondering if it's slightly better. You KNOW it's better. Within 5 seconds of driving the car.
I am convinced that economy is slightly better.

I've got a friend with a 530d and he's thinking about the DMS upgrade, what is the estimated increase in HP and torque after remap? The dmsautomotive website says the 730d can go up to 260hp, but I think that's a newer 3.0d engine rite?
thanks!
