Picked up my newly painted MTech body kit yesterday and fitted it today. Quite an easy install - but complicated by our local regs requiring safety chain brackets for towbars. The new bracket I got fits under the bumper but the cover that came with the MTech kit cannot be used. I'll have to get a custom made bracket if I want to use the towbar cover that came with the kit.

Reinstalling the Bel XR20 and Blinder took time too as there's a lot less room for these

Did you get your kit from BMW?

Hey, another Kiwi! Yes. After disappointing service from from local dealers I got positive responses from Paul in Parts at Cooke Howlison BMW in Dunedin. Ended up getting the wheels and body kit and a few other bits thru them. BMW NZ Parts warehouse in only 5-10 minutes from home so it's actually more convenient picking things up than going to Newmarket or Takapuna.

Great job

How long did it take you to align everything?

It is very easy to align at there's no alignment needed. Everything fits perfectly into brackets and even the brackets that need to be replaced seem to click / lock into place. The license plate took the longest to align and even then I'd drilled a centre hole prior to painting. What took the time for me was sorting the towbar and the detectors.
