Hello people,
I got some aluminum pedals from the BMW Accessories line and i was wondering how to swap the rubber ones with those that i bought?
Is there a DIY around here (search came up empty)?

However, I don't know about your new pedals if they are meant to be installed with tiny bolts or some other way...

My Ride: 2004 545i, Sport and Premium package, Titanium Silver with Black Dakota Leather interior
I put aluminum pedals on mine. Deadrest has screws that simply screw into the hard plastic. Brake... remove rubber pad, drill holes in metal pedal, use tiny bolts and nuts to secure aluminum pedal to existing pedal. I added some "threadlock" to the end of the bolts because I have heard that over time they can shake loose and require re-tightening. To drill the holes I used double-sided tape to hold the aluminum pedal in place while I aligned and drilled the holes. After holes are drilled, simply remove tape and re-apply pedal using nuts and bolts. The accelerator is plastic and easy to drill but it is a bitch to try and hold the tiny nut in place because of the positioning of the accelerator and difficulty reaching behind it. I would recommend loosening the hex nut at the base of the accelerator and removing the accelerator from the floor to make it easier. I ended up just using tape on the tip of my finger and sticking the nut to the tape so I wouldn't drop it. After about 20 attempts and 10 temper tantrums I got it. Deadrest and brake pedals took less than 10 minutes total. Accelerator took me over 1/2 hour itself.

For example the gas pedal came with the entire assembly (the one that pushes in when you step on the pedal). I looked at tit and also on the one that's installed on the car and there is only one bolt.
Also brake pedal has no bolts/space for drilling. As you can see in that picture it looks like the brake pedal and clutch pedals were simply swapped, case in which i think it's only a pull and replace procedure.
For the gas pedal i think it just needs to be replaced.
