I am more hestitant to do the Sprint Booster upgrade (which I understand addresses this) than the Dinan software upgrade. My wife's ride is an '03 540iT and the power just seems to be more "sudden" than on the 535xi.

I had thought about the Sprint Booster as well, but it just seems like smoke and mirrors to me. The best way that I have found to remove any hesitation is to run the car in with Sport Auto in sport mode and sport button activated. I find this removes the hesitation that you may feel is there.
