It's gonna be the best $2K spend so far on my precious. I'm going to make the call to Koala tomorrow and give them my business then call the guy in San Diego to set up a schedule for the install.
Hollywood,
I'm gonna tear you up! That is until you get yours done. :'(

This hasn't been brought up, but doesn't the M5 have a limited slip differential with a final drive ratio of 3.62? And, look at the price = $1925. I'm sure Garry from BMW Newport or the new guy at Crevier can order the part. If this is the case, I'll drop both Dinan and Koala and get this.

Whoa Well done Z. Jiio and I were seriously considering this mod sometime soon. He'll probably pick it up before I do. When it's all said and done, you should cruise down to LA and have a field day with my car bring the g-meter!

I've been looking everywhere but can't find any concrete evidence that the M5 does have a limited slip. There's been mention of it having one but that was from press releases prior to the offical release of the M5. Other than that, nada, zip, zilch, zero.
I'll still look into the M5 differential though b/c it is OEM after all. So, my warranty will still be valid right?

I think the same warranty issues would exist since the part is not offered on the car originally. Check out my early post on warranty issues.

I'll take my chances with the OEM M5 differential.

I know the M5 has LSD...in fact all M cars have (at least all current models...)
Later edit: I can bet my house that the car has a limited slip.
C'mon guys use your brain and feels rather than the eyes....feel how our E60 handle with dsc off on hard cornering. Push the throttle more and you get the rear-inner tire smoking...push it even further and you get a drift...but not as close as the ones made by the m5.
