You know who RD Sport is right? They are one of the BEST BMW tuner shops worldwide. Along with being one of the best, they are one of the most EXPENSIVE. Case in point: Overhaul of exhaust system with RD Sport? about $10K, R54 Engine that will spank both M5 and M6? about $20K
I'm a little hestitant to ask RD Sport about how much their diffs cost. I wouldn't be surprised if their cheapest is $3K! Hollywood, since you uncovered it go ahead and ask them how much.

If I could choose, I'd get the M5 rear diff with a 3.91 ratio. Maybe consider a 4.10 if you have a step or SMG.
Otherwise, I'd look to get a quaife LSD and gearing/final drive from the company that offers the cheapest price installed. If price were not an issue, I'd look at the discovery automotive diff. And if quaife does not make an application for the e60, I'd look for them to make one and get a group buy going on the forums.

Just to clarify, they list the LSD and final drive as separate items.

Ask jiio, ask to RD the price of their diffs!
I have talked to hollywoodtrash. He is gathering information about the RD Sport diffs. I will let you know when he tells me his findings.
Also, I will be taking my car in for some mods next week to the BMW shop that will hopefully be doing the installation of my differential. I'll have a long good talk with the owner.
