My Ride: E61 530D M SPORT - Silver
Thumbs up

I am looking to buy a set of style 172 alloys and tyres.

Does anybody have a set that they are willing to sell? I am willing to travel anywhere in UK to collect.

PM me with details.

Also if anybody has a E60 with M Sport kit on order that is still spec changeable and is going to put there own wheels on it after delivery, and would be willing to change there order to include style 172 alloys. I would be willing to give you ?250 upfront now and ?780 on delivery. The style 172 is a ?780 upgrade in the UK from the standard style 135 that comes with the sport kit.

Just a thought but let me know if you have any alternative to the above suggestion.

Are you aware that the 172's aren't compatible with the E61?

I'm afraid the first option is unlikely. Anyone who has 172's & wants to sell them must be crazy

IMHO they are one of the best looking rims available for the E60/61.

Good choice and good luck finding some.
Post pics when you do

Hi Colejl

You are correct in saying that officially 172's are not compatible with the E61 as standard. However they do fit without any problems the only issue is that they reduces the weight carrying capability of the E61.

Since i bought the E61 for its style and not load lugging capability this will never be an issue for me.

I just want to make it even more stylish with 172's.

Anybody intrested in either of my suggestions in the starting post please PM me.

The Styling 172 wheels are my favorite also.

Why don't you take a quote from Germany.

All your changes would probably cost less in Germany.

Make it a holiday trip for next summer!

I.e. I asked for some Styling 116 wheels from BMW Sweden in Stochholm,
and do the the fact that the Swedish crown is so cheep compared to the Euro
I would have made good savings buying the wheels overthere.
The info was also useful for bargening in Finland even if I never did the buy!

You're welcome j9sht. Haven't seen any for sale other than on here, but you never know someone may want to trade up to 20s
