I sent them an email a while back and they said a E60 version would be available by the end of this year. I use the aux input and am happy with it.

I wrote to them nearly a year now - have grown tired of waiting - had the BMW aux input installed 9 months ago - after obtaining the part number & even the installation instructions from this forum!

Does the base car at least have an aux input? I definitely want to hook up my iPod to the L7. I don't care if it's not fully integrated with the car's display.

You have to get the aux input installed from the dealer.

Is it part of an option pak or stand-alone item? I'll have to get details from my dealer.

It's a dealer installed accessory. Around $200 installed.
