Hi guys, (and gals), I need some help, today I tried to fit my Dension 500. I followed Mutleys, and Bruce's very good diy's on the subject, everything was going to plan, fitted the Dension loosely in the passenger foot well and tried my ipod, and hey presto it worked, well in a fashion, the idrive recognised that I had a mp3 disc/ipod connected. Songs were playing but couldn't see track names, so I thought ok, it does need the mp3 upgrade, fare enough. So I disconnected everything, tided up all the wires, and installed everything back were it belonged. Then tried to play the Ipod again and nothing..............
Checked the ipod and it showing that its connected to the Dension, then BONG, SOS emergency phone disabled flash's on the idrive, BONG, rear window entrapment disabled.........
At this point I had to start packing everything away, because I had to go to work. Then whilst driving to work I had to make a call, so called up my phone book thru the blue tooth and nothing, went into bluetooth setting and its telling me I have to go to BMW to get it enabled!!!!!!
I came home tonight and the window entrapment has gone from fault list but still no phone.
Any ideas people??? Pretty please

P.S. The phone worked when the ipod was playing the first time I tried it, because I got a call whilst playing with it.

Seems to be fiber loop problem ... since the iPod didn't work 2nd time around that mean a broken fiber connection to the Dension.

GL!

Thumbs up

Thanks for the input blast, I'm gonna disconnect everything, put it back to OEM, try to get the phone back online, and try again, whilst double checking my fiber optic connections

fingers crossed
