i've got a parrot mki9200 installed, question does the gw500 stop the sound from the car ie park sensors, sat nav and dash warning like the parrot does. say when on the phone does it block out the sound of the parking sensor/satnav. samething with the ipod/usb does that block out the sounds from the car too?

I have 2005 E60 525D with no CDC or SAT and have just bought a Dension 500 but cannot find the fibre optic lead from car to connect.
can someone help please?

 

You may not have factory pre-wired for CDC ... in that case you have to extend the MOST fiber optic from the back of the head unit from behind the dash.

 

I have a 09/2003 production unit with navi pro and CDC. I have installed the gateway, and everything works except the gateway. My iPod excepts charging even from the unti, but not music. I have the dip switches set to 1 & 2 up. Anyones got a clue what the problem is? Do I need additional coding?

 

SO im a newbie to the 5 Series scene but have been in the 3 series scene for about 10 years..

I have a 2005 530i Nav w/ no cdc but does have the hookup.

I installed the Dension Gateway 500 and i get a solid blue light on the Aux.

My problem is that when I use the idrive, it shows cd1 - cd6 but its all greyed out.

I used the Gen tool to enable the system, but my question is do I need to take it to the dealership to get it coded still? I thought using the gen tool it should work without doing to the dealership.

Any ways, anyone know whats goin on here?

check fibre optic is correct and that you have the latest firmware

 

just did the firmware and i've checked the fibre optic..

anyother ideas?

 

Hi guys. Would love some help:

- 2005 BMW 645 with Nav / 6xCD Changer / 8.8" Screen / Dual slots
- Installed dension gateway 500 according to the DIY (type 2b)
- Had the car reprogrammed for mp3 and now I can see play and see the text from MP3 CDs that I put in my in-dash CD/DVD

CAN'T FOR THE LIFE OF ME get text from the gateway unit. I have tried the DIP switch on 110000, 110001, 010000, and 010001.

Am I missing something?

One quick question. Does Dension Gateway 500 works with factory fitted microphones or just with its own microphones? I would like to have it installed in my car but i can figured it out about bluetooth. In all the descriptions says that is works with car microphones but the garage said no. I have to install a new pair of microphones which comes with the kit.
