Yes, it's very much possible.
You can confirm that, put an audio CD in the front CD player, and check if you can see CD CD1 CD2 ... CD6.
If you see only CD, you have to enable the CDC port.
If you see also CD1, CD2 .. CD6, but they are greyed out, then there's something wrong with your Gateway installation.

GW500 i only see CD...

so i must take car to service to enable this right?


AlexFW i ordered it from STAL ELEKTRONIK, its a shop in Slovenia, i payed 410EUR.

i did it like that:



i hope its correct, or should i took the optic cable that goes OUT of HD not IN? or it doesn't matter?

my530i, no you just move the mode selector switch to service mode and thats it:

AlexFW yes and i checked on ebay.de too, but there are the same prices as in slovenia, dunno how much it costs in US.

AlexFW - you are probably cheaper off getting it from the place i got mine... maybe it will pay off to learn some german
