Business Nav and M-ask Radio unit. I know Dension say this is not an option but i wondered if anyone

I did it but with help of Multimedia adapter to feed the front screen with vedio source and control it thru menu botton.
Check this vedio as an overview on the systems installed in my car, it is an Arabic version that I posted in Arabic forum
for the vedio in front screen go directly to 4:36

hatemax,

Did you actually managed to get the Dension AVR to work with a 6.5" MASK?
How about the coding, did you have to enable TV option and it worked?

Or did you use something like the xcarlink iDrive multimedia interface and then hooked up the AVR to that?

Just to confirm, is this the multimedia adapter you have used?

For the AVR to get the source menus, did you have to code the car also? Or is it enough to code Dension 500 + BT like I already have?

No need to code the car. GW500 menu will be extended automatically if you install the AVR and you can control your iPhone (music/video) thru the iDrive. However, to see the video thru front screen you need to select the multimedia AV source assigned to the dension by pressing menu button.

I hope this will help

Ah ok cool. I was wondering if you need to have have a TV option, in the iDrive source menu, where you have FM, AM, CD, TV.
And the Dension AVR have you connected that either AV1 or AV2 on the multimedia interface right?
Also the wiring harness that should connect to the back of the head unit, I already installed one harness from the multimedia interface, can you plug the AVR one into that too?

Exactly you need to connect the RCA cable from AVR to the multimedia AV sources (RCA type)

Also the wiring harness that should connect to the back of the head unit, I already installed one harness from the multimedia interface, can you plug the AVR one into that too?
Regarding connecting AVR harness to the back of the head unit, it is not required in your case since you will redirect the video signal to front screen via the multimedia.
You may investigate more regarding connecting AVR harness directly to the head unit because this will require to code the M-ASK for TV option and I don't think it's possible. However, if it is possible, the multimedia is not required anymore!
