Hiya,
I want to add an ipod connection to my car so I started phoning around a couple of dealers. They are quoting me approx ?400 to supply, fit and code the car. Is this about right??
I understand the work and time involved in coding from reading posts here but the cost appears a little steep.
Cheers

I had it done here in Germany for around 300 Euro. So, 400 quid seems a but high.

Buy parts from Germany, install by yourself and go to a techguy (ask westside or brucemiranda).
Boycott dealers mates! (on internet we can find all infos on how to build at home their SSS)

Thanks for your replies.
300 euros seems more reasonable...do you know what the labour cost was on that. The dealer I spoke to suggested the unit was approx ?180 and labour was about ?260.
I would love to install my own (have done similar things on previous cars) but I still have a warranty and do not want to risk it.
Any UK cars out there that have had it done????????????????

Well, I just checked my receipt. It was Actually 360 Euro. The part was 179.88 and the install was 181.11. The only bright side was that I could take 19% off those prices because I am VAT exempt.
Hope this helps.
