I'm finishing off a fun project within the next 3 weeks that is involving the following:
(keep in mind this is on a 530)
1) Mtech side skirts (Uminitza)
2) Trunk finisher (Trinity)
3) Tints (on the fence about this)
4) Brake caliper re-painting gloss black (Xenonmods.com)
5) New r1concept drilled & slotted sport rotors (Trinity)
6) Axxis brake pads (Trinity)
7) Caliper decals (Xenonmods.com)
(all for about $1,500 including installations which isn't too bad imo)
The question I have is about the caliper decals. Should I use the M logo on the caliper or the text BMW? Here are pics:
Both would be stuck to the retaining clip that can easily be removed on the front 2 calipers. I'm not even sure if it will fit on the rears since they are too small.

I'm trying to think of how I can best express my opinion on this without insulting anyone:
You have a BMW. Tons of folks don't and wish they did. It's a great company and those three letters mean a lot.
You are spending quite a bit of money to make it even better; more unique, and you're not doing it cheaply either.
Let these new additions speak for themselves without "lying" about what your car is. I don't know any other word to use except "tacky" to describe people who put M5 decals, stickers, side vents, whatever on a non-M5 car. To me it makes a beautifully optioned car look like a stupid POS instead, and it deserves much better than that. It is what it genuinely is and that's nothing to be ashamed of.
I have the full MTech kit, 19" wheels, lowered suspension, etc. and I love it. It is the most complimented car I have ever owned. I also love the fuel economy that comes with my 530i, and I would never want an M5 anyway. It's too much engine with too much depreciation, maintenance, and problems, and requires too much fuel to operate. It's obviously an outstanding piece of engineering for someone who wants that kind of vehicle -- I'm just not one of them.
I think the "BMW" (only) letters would look nice on your calibers, but again, only if they look factory and are not cheap looking. I find the picture you posted in the latter category because the lettering is too large. Sorry.
Search for "painted caliber" and think about doing that instead? I'm thinking of painting mine black or maybe even red and think they look great that way.
I hope my opinions don't insult anyone's tastes out there. That's all these are: personal opinions.
Good luck with all your upgrades and have fun!

BMW Performance sticker will only fit on a 545, 550, or M5 caliper. All others have a different groove that is thinner and not as straight across. Sticker won't fit.
I still have one set of stickers for the "BMW Performance" and the "Performance" part....but I screwed up trying to fit "BMW" on there.

I had an extra set from Nick for my old M5, and I tried to install them on my 550i calipers with no luck. That area on the caliper is too thin.
