The cooling box in the rear (instead of the skibag) can be ordered from the factory in Germany when you purchase an E60. It's a BMW Individual option.

A small cooler in the back seat with a few cold packs would probably work just as well... That will run ya about $11-$12

A big cooler full of ice in the trunk... (Full with your favorite beverage) ... Now thats just heaven - $30-$40 plus $1.00 per bag of ice

Can't justify the 2k+ for that "luxury"

GO SOX!!!!

I am sure it's possible to retrofit it.

When I think of a fridge in a car, I think of what I would put in that fridge. What I put in the fridge is not allowed to be consumed while driving, so what are we keeping cool here? hmmmm?

Im thinking about getting the TV on my I drive screen, watching the big game, multi-contour chair back sipping a beer. Hey wait i'm driving.

Im actually laughing out loud here at work!! For $2,300, you can just about get a full size built in fridge in your kitchen. I want to know how many of these they have sold. I love the comment about the cooler, however with the BMW beer cooler (is that the official name) if you get pulled over I do believe no police officer would ever find your beer stash. You know $2,300 isn't such a bad price after all. Will it fit glass bottles of beer?

That fridge is in the rear! It's for the rear passenegrs. Not for the driver. It comes from BMW Individual, and they also make the REAR entertainment system and more stuff for the PASSENGERS.

No problem -- just set the ACC with stop and go and turn on the lane deviation warning system -- you'll be good to go!
