Are these tires good? they sell a set for $888 at tirerack and have good reviews. Anybody here tried them?

There was a similar post about these Conti's a few days ago < https://5series.net/forums/topic/102...1#entry1220402

BTW for what its worth, I have to say that the DWS ones I have are excellent, as an all-season tire. I'd be curious to see what kind of performance can be extracted out of the DW's - I might just use those as a summer setup when/if I get the 19s.

My Ride: Metallic gray '05 545i Sport Black Leather with HUD, Step, Nav, PDC, CWP, K&N Air Filter, Black RPI scoop, Black painted calipers, 35% F1 Pinnacle tint, 19" RDSport RS-2F rims with Continental ExtremeContact DWs.
I got the DWs as a replacement for PS2s. While they are not quite as stiff as the PS2s, they do provide for firm cornering and a smooth and quiet ride. I run mine a little stiffer, at about 40 PSI, so they have a little more cornering stiffness, but they are softer. For the price I'd highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed.

I have the DW's on my 530i
255/35/19 Front
275/35/19 Rear
Went from the 17 (OEM) to the 19 and let me tell you they are almost as quiet Just could not believe it.
They are not as sporty as the other brands because they have soft side walls but I dont care about that. What I care about more is the quiet ride and I can say that they surely might be quieter than the DWS. The place where I live,
1. Doesn't snow much
2. If it were to snow I would not drive the BMW anyways
So went with the DW's & have put 5K miles on it so far. I am not a rash\sprint driver but do take curves and change 3 lanes at the same time with high speeds some times. If you are a track guy
this is not for you but if you drive in the city with traffic you might love it
Bottom line Overall PERFORMER and for the price - a No Brainer (period)
