I've found a few links for this on other boards but nothing for e60.

This is really involved but I'd like to know if anyone's done it or is going to try.
Would give proximity unlocking and simple start button internally.

If the knowledge, parts and price is out there I'd like to know...

I don't think anyone's have done that ! And honestly I don't think it worth all the trouble and the money, you better keep using you key and keep the money for your CIC retrofit or an LCI lights upgrade !

There was a russian guy in here that did it. I've also seen it done on some e92s. The main problem is to get hold of a new set of keys, and get those programmed.

I know it can be done.
There is a good video Ill find & link back in here that shows the full layout of goods needed for the install.
Its definitely crazy.

I was hoping someone had the goods, a cost & installation options.

Would be worth looking at, though obviously over the top. But hey, I am a member here so....
