The last few days it has been down to -4*C overnight. In the morning my iPOD will not play until the interior warms up. It will show the playlist, and the track it is supposed to be playing, but nothing happens and after a minute or so the system jumps to a radio station. Anyone else experienced this?

iPod should not be subjected to sub-freezing temperatures per Apple and BMW.

American technology
Interesting ... -4oC _OUTSIDE_, but what does that equate to in the car? Does it get to 0 or below 0 inside? I'm almost tempted to go and put a cup of water inside the car and see whether there are signs of ice in the morning.
As an example, it was -6oC here this morning. My windscreen washer jets were frozen solid. But the headlight washers weren't, and worked first time, I assume because they were "inside the bumper" and hence not at, or below, 0 ...
Interestingly for the iPod shuffle, Apple website shows;
Operating temperature: 32? to 95? F (0? to 35? C)
Nonoperating temperature: -4? to 113? F (-20? to 45? C)
So if "operating" is 0 degress, and nonoperating is -4, what is the state of limbo when it is in -1, -2 or -3 ... neither working nor nonworking!
