It's a good idea to allow 2-3 days of normal driving to allow your vehicle to adjust To the changes made from the tune, instead of going balls out after install.

My Ride: 08 535xiT - Sapphire Black / Beige
Just updated the firmware and maps over the weekend. Was running 2.x, with 93octane Alternate Throttle map and would get error messages every now and again [same thing people get with the sprint boosters]. Seem the newer firmware addresses this, and I haven't seen it happen again, put about 100 miles on the car since.
Totally agree about flooring it, you don't seem to get as much oomph as when you go just to the point of pedal resistance, but I think this is cause flooring while in motion may cause a downshift which takes you to 5000+ rpms, which is where hp starts to drop and tq is already sliding.
I think you do loose boost after 5500 or so, at least looking at the dyno graph, and as mentioned above, certainly feels like it.
About the maps, never tried to change them on the fly [cause uh, I'm driving], but have uninstalled/re-installed for 2 dealer visits, and changed maps several times. Only takes a few minutes to change a map, ie less than 5 mins to change, and about 10 to install/uninstall. There are bunch of maps to choose from, as well as a stock map, tho not sure why you'd want it [maybe if your kids want to borrow the car], and a valet map, which I think detunes the engine more, but not sure.
Have had my Cobb since May, totally love it, would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I have been bitten by the mod bug. . . bad. I just might have to suck it up and get the exhaust and downpipes soon when the Stage 2 is released. That coupled with a nice meth injection setup (which is definitely cheaper than the exhaust and downpipes) and the car should easily yield 410-420 whp. . .

The risk is having a tuning system smart enough to know exactly how much meth/water is flowing and being able to react to a situation where the meth stops flowing unexpectedly.

I wrote this review for you guys, my fellow N54 E60'ers
I was thinking, jee, this is a tough crowd no one had replied for hours, but it appears the responses are coming back and I'm liking the feedback on my review. I'm genuinely trying to be helpful to the small group of N54 guys in the E60 community. . . we are probably the most "special" set aside from the almighty M5 guys. I was really on the fence of getting a 550i sport when I looking to buy an E60, I'm so glad I didn't now. It was either buy the 550i and leave the motor stock or buy a 535i and find a nice tune and have a faster car. I did drive a few of them but honestly the 535i with the Cobb AP just feels so much more lively and aggressive. Go get this thing, it's worth every penny.
Stage 2 will be released soon, but I'm certain it will require bolt ons, and downpipes for the 535i are $$$. . . .$800+ unless we can find someone to make them and we do a group buy. I'd have to say the Stage 1 upgrade is more power than most folks will need, I couldn't see anyone not being pleased with it.

Stage 2 is out but you can only run this tune if you have downpipes and or a bigger intercooler. Hard to find pipes for the 535's and they are catless, which becomes a problem, at least here in Socal.
I've been running this tune since March and love it.
It's hard to find 93 Octane down here so I've only been running the car with the 91 tune. Even at that, it's really fun.
Had a run with a new Porsche GT3 a while back. Went from a roll [ in Mexico ] and at 100mph he was only 3-4 car lengths ahead.

so your saying your the only one with the stage 2? how come no one else has been running it yet? and that our stock dps are catless or are u saying that its hard to find catless dps?

I am glad to hear that you are enjoying our tune!
Stage 2 require an aftermarket downpipe, at the very least. We also recommend an upgraded intake and cat-back exhaust system.
Stage 2 + FMIC requires an aftermarket downpipe, intake, and FMIC. A cat-back exhaust upgrade is also recommended.
