Yes, you are right.
The read window curve is the most difficult part of the process, but with a little try (stick-unstick-drag-press and turn cm by cm) finally will be ok.

I just used plain black eletrical tape on mine, one standard strip fit the width of the trim perfectly. Came out real nice, no bubbles. I will post pictures when I have time.
