Hi all

I have the chrome trim around my windows (E60 2003) and it just looks battered up close, its faded and cloudy and i have tried several methods to bring it back to new. im tempted to go with the shadow line trim but i think the chrome has a little class about it, has any one else had this chrome issue?

Yeah i had this issue on a previous Bimmer and found this thread but never tried it. Looks like it's worth a shot. GL

I tried a few different chrome polishers and pretty much said screw it since it still looked like crap. I painted them matte black along with the kidney grill and brake calipers.

They won't polish up well at all. Plan to paint it or replace it with the black trim.

Op, search autopia.org. I remember reading about the chrome trim cloudy issue and methods detailers used to clean it up. Forgot exactly what it was though.
