$200 per wheel, Just go ebay and bid on the set for $800. and you still have your original wheels for backup.

I am Anti-Chrome, So I say DON'T DO IT!!

I have seen that car with the Chrome Wheels and it looks Cheap. If you really want Chrome, go with a Chrome Lip and Silver or Black Wheel

Thanks for all of the help... I really have always thought a little chrome can be very sharp. The E60 does not have much flash... so I thought a little chrome on the wheels would look really good. Especially with the dark paint. I was able to see some of the wheels at the dealership and the quality looked excellent. But still, the purist in me says "Don't do it!" So I guess I am conflicted as usual If I do take the plunge, I'll post some pics...

I have seen a black car identical to mine with the wheels chromed and as I thought it didn't look as good. The curvature on the design of the spokes just doesn't seem to respond well to chroming, makes it lok darker.
I think some wheels just don't "chrome" well.

Personally, I would get a polished rim with silver, grey or black center.

I chromed my 124's, and love them. Found a place that traded them out for $500.00. I have a black 545i, and chrome looks great. PM if interested. The place is in Van Nuys, CA. They were recommeded by my SA at a BMW dealer.

My view is do whatever you want to your car, but just make it unique. It may end up looking like ass, but at least it will be unique ass.
