Does somebody has any experience of making chiptuning in diesel engines? Is it safe to rise the power of 520d from 163 ps to 190 ps and torque from 340 nm to 400 nm?

i have had my 530d re-mapped twice now, and its now 502 lb/ft
im not sure of the bhp ? and i dont care...as its the torque that pushes you down the road.
the difference is fantastic, with the same MPG.
BMW diesel engines are no where near there tollerances from the factory, they are set up to comply with most countries and poor fuel.
i would guess that there is another 20% minimum performance available to use just by re mapping the DDE. and still remain useable and reliable.
go for it.
