Car feels the same. Though, I'm getting slightly better MPG (even though I've been driving much harder lately). I used to average out 19.1mpg, right now I'm doing 21.4 on this tank.

Hmmm, I'm gonna have to perform this tomorrow
On a side note.....will removing the charcoal filter void the warranty.....should the filter be put back in before taking it in for service, or will they not care?

Just removed mine....damn, that was easy. Took like 8 mins start to finish.....no bonus leaves or foam pieces under my filter
Throttle response does feel a little more crisp. Will the charcoal filter go back in if I ever desired? It was kinda molded to the lid...connected in the corners, it appeared.
Also, the stock air filter does look pretty restrictive.....I'll have to get an aftermarket one here pretty soon.

did it yesterday... I can def. feel a little more response and it looks like my MPG is a little better. I had to snap/break it off though, hope I dont ever need to put it back in.

FYI. My '08 535 doesn't have the charcoal filter. It has what sounds like a thicker orange filter only.
