Changing the yellow halo ring bulbs to a 12v8w white bulbs
#281
Hi Pingu . Hope you can help . Looking to upgrade the angel eye bulbs on my 07 E60 . It has the halogen set up . There are only 2 angel eye bulbs on the car , nearside & offside . My problem is trying to find bulbs that fit . The current ones consist of the bulb holder with the bulb welded in so it cannot be changed on its own . Enclosed is a pic of my bulbs , " old style " versions . The " new style " ones in the pic will not fit into the headlamp unit as they protrude too far and foul up inside the light unit . Any ideas ? Cheers .

Just make sure the bulb is seated properly and turn clockwise to lock in.

Fitted the 12v8w bulbs from pinguhk today and I could not be happier. The result is excellent at night and I can truly recommend this mod to those thinking about these bulbs. I agree the daytime effect is limited but then it was limited more or less with the stock bulbs anyway. Maybe the LEDs are brighter for daytime effect but I didn't want to mess around with failing or unreliable LEDs and any errors etc. For those with the standard halogen headlamps, these are the bulbs to have. Thanks to member johal for the spot on instructions. Thanks again pinguhk....nice one. I've taken some pictures. Stock on left and pinguhk's on right in the first picture. What do you guys think, especially at night ?
