strangely i thought my battery was in the engine bay, i recall jump starting another car using my BM and I was using connections in the engine bay. ah well, shows how much (or not) of a mechanic I am!

There are just some terminals in the engine bay, thats what you used.
I think that wheel has seen too many coats of Armorall!
