Changing exhaust tips? Sound change?

My Ride: 2004 BMW 530i
Okay so basically I'm thinking about getting acs exhaust tips and I am curious to whether or not this will change the sound of the car? Thanks

um actually it will. I change my tips and they are 1.5 inches longer and slightly larger diameter-and the increased length definetly caused some increased resonance and more high pitch tones- It is simple physics (even though i hate whne people say that ) increase length of a tube effects harmonics pretty predictablly
