CD Changer in Dash - Move DVD/Nav to Glove Cmpt

Just got my 550. Love the car but annoyed with the cd changer in the glove compartment.
Seems like a design flaw to me. The CD changer I use often. The NAV disk hardly ever.
Has anyone here put an aftermraket 6-cd changer in the dash and moved the NAV to the glove compartment?
The other alternative is to wait for the Denison I-pod thing to get here. Seems like they always promise soon (now its early 2006) but don't deliver.

The dension for the 5 is out now, but its a bit of a let down - its a line input and a cradle. No on screen feedback or controll. http://www.dension.com/icelink_lite.htm#features
