I know this has probably been ask before but i the threads i found were from a few years back i have an 2004 bmw 530i produced in 03/04 i believe and i wanted to do a ccc retrofit since i have a mask unit. Does anyone know if it's possible and if so what do i need to do it. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

 

i just bought a system too...and need more parts....not fully sure which ones or where to get them or even what the right part numbers are...

i see tons of info on the CiC retrofit, but nothing for poor bastards like myself just going the Mask to CCC route....any help for the both of us would be greatly appreciated!

Fitment is fairly easy but your car will need coding afterwards.

GPS antenna - Needed....anyone have a part number for this? a member suggested i get a generic farka antennae on ebay, tons to choose from is there a specific one to buy?
Controller high (haptic feed back) - Needed(?) are you guys 100% sure i cant use my old iDrive controller for this retrofit? i dont care about having the force feedback option
CCC fan cable harness - needed - part number? i did a test install to see what was needed, much seemed to be plug & play, i dont know where this cord would go or plug into existing cables??
Centre console trim cover - definitely need this, but i dont have a part number and my ebay searches are turning up empty
8 inch board monitor - check

i looked on realoem.com to try to track down some of these part numbers but its not the most simple site to utilize.


any links on an old retrofit/install DIY from someone on the forum? any thoughts on coding before i call the stealership for a quote?

 

Yes the controller high is need as it`s a pre-LCI car im afraid, PM me your VIN no. and trim colour/spec and ill get you the trim part no. right now.

I don`t know how you get hold of the fan cable harness, it`s not listed on the ETK (dealer parts cat.) but it`s needed thats for sure.
I have heard of ppl using an E39 antenna or you could use a third party one and fit it under the centre speaker grill.

Blood do you know if the fan cable harness is to connect the fan to the ccc? I have seen a few ccc with a fan in the back do they not need the harness then? Thanks for all your help blood it seems like not that many people are helping with this retrofit.

Yes theres a cooling fan at the back of the CCC and the M-ask has not got one as it does not need the extra cooling, you will need wire in the harness for it to work.

 

Yes that is correct the cable is the same but the connector is back to front.
