Has anyone test the new Carx for E6X cars? I look very interesting. Basically you need a computer with Windows XP, Multimedia interface and a CANBUS interface, then you have a multimedia center and you also get the new I-drive look. Everything is integrated to the I-drive. I tested Carx on my old E46 and I?m now considering this in my E61. Anyone have any recommendations on multimedia interface for the I-drive?
Here are som pictures

I care. That's why I asked. I want one and want to know exactly what parts would make it work. Or maybe it won't work because I have a US car. More INFO please!
Yes the GUI looks awesome and much more updated than my 09 idrive. You build laptops? That must suck. I build desktops and I would NEVER want to assemble a laptop. I have big hands

so wait what do I need to put in my car for this to work? I have an extra XP laptop...
You could use an laptop but it's better to use a carpc with 12v powersuppley. Than you could configure the computer to start and stop with det remote power on the HU. When you unlook the car the original HU and NAVI i starting up. With at Carpc you could get the pc to start at the same time so everithing is ready when you start the car.

Why do you need an American version? Just tested it on a computer and everything is on English.

oh so this is a rather large project. I thought it might be using one of those ACM (?) modules which then gives you an AUX in? I'm not really sure...I'm comming from the e46 world too, but I haven't gotten too crazy into the electrical systems since mine is a lease now
