I don't really know the price of used rieger front bumper... probably $300-$400.. but if you know somebody (auto body shop) who will install the M5 front bumper why not go for it.. they might just ask some more money to install since it has a fitment issue.. I did install my front bumper, did not have a hard time... it fits really good...

I'd would rather go wiith a used Reiger since that guy said "I could keep my fog lights, and it fits like a glove" sound like he might not know what he is talking about. Can you post some pics when you have yours installed. A close up shot of the fitment would be great.

i prefer mtech bc of the foglights. if you want to go wild, get a splitter (hamann, rd, hartge) along with the front bumper

here is what the splitter does for the eyes

before with mtech only

mtech plus Hamann Splitter

Yup that guy was right... I used my OEM foglights and it did fit good, no problem.... You can utilize your oem fogs... Here's my Rieger front bumper w/ oem fogs after i installed it.

I still find my ACS front good looking and like the fact that it's not common ! (my only other favorite is the mtech with Hamann splitter.)

Mtech and splitter looks very cool. I might have to up my front bumper budget. How much is that splitter painted again?

With regards to the fog lights, I meant that he guy said I could keep the fog lights with the "M5" front bumper which leads me to believe that he doesn't know what he is talking about.

That splitter is sweet.. but its almost 1k painted.. I'm probably wrong if you get it locally, but from the quotes I got, that's the price.

I wish I can get it, but its just too much in NYC. my splitter would be destroyed in a month. HAHAA

Go for the splitter and Mtech!!!

I would also recommend the M-Tech bumper with one of the various splitters (Hamann, Hartge, etc.). The only problem with splitters like the Hamann one is that they do lower the front clearance height, so there is more of a chance of rubbing the bottom of the bumper/splitter on semi-steep driveways and parking blocks. I have a hard enough time keeping the M-tech bumper from rubbing even without a splitter.......but if you want a more aggressive look and good fit at the same time I think that is the best choice.

There are also the partial splitters that go on the lips of the M-Tech bumper (on the sides). There is the OEM BMW Carbon Fiber ones which just add on to the existing lips on the side, and the ACS ones which also surround the foglight.

If you need more info on the ACS M-Tech splitters PM vegastrashed. Darwin at Sonic MS (the person who bought VT's 545) has put the ACS on his car and I assume you can buy a set from him if you decide to go for it. Here are pictures of the ACS M-Tech splitters, and the OEM BMW Carbon Fiber splitters which I found on one of quad_m's threads (the car belongs to greyboy545):
