My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
Ive learned so much already...... 10k mods are definitely out of the question for me if i had 10k I'd be putting my car up for sale and walking into BMW of manhattan to put money down on that f10 550 LOL. I know most people feel the cheaper mods give very insignificant gains but imo any gain is better than no gain in order to get that boost I'm looking for I'm willing to spend between 1000-2000.
THen hit up Trinity Autosport (nerweezy is a member here). For less than $2k they can probably hoom yuo up with RPI scoop/filter, RPI exhaust and ESS tune, all together could be around 30 HP, not bad.

LOL hilarious comparison.... Speaking of the sprint booster, when i first got my car it was a kinda strange feeling driving it i had to get use to that slight delay in the gas pedal I wonder why BMW put that feature in people found it so irritating that they invented the sprint booster. Any way just an observation, now im used to it and driving other cars is what feels strange.

Well, with the ESS tune it's not simply the HP gains - which you could feel since 10-12 HP on our cars would be more significant than, say 10-12 HP on a 550 or M5. More so it's the throttle response, variation is the torque curve, and fuel economy, giving you the "feel" of more power than it's actually producing. Also, considering the ESS tune can be had for ~$100-150 more than a Sprintbooster V2 then it's a no brainer.

My Ride: 2008 535i
20"Concept One / C F Emblems / JB4 / M5 Front / R1 Concept Rotors / Vorsteiner Spoiler (waiting on...)
What about a JuiceBox? I just had mine installed on my 535 and what a helluva difference that made. I was told to run the JB with traction control until I became more accustomed to it; they weren't full of shit on that recommendation either! Car will no doubt run faster to 0-100 than anything I've ever owned / ridden in.. It just keeps the ass and back firmly planted in the seat as long as someone has the balls to keep their foot on the floorboard! I spent $600 bucks for everything; by far the cheapest 80-90 horsepower gain for the money, not to mention the ability to turn this thing on / off, and selecting various performance modes....Great Investment...

The JB or Burger Tune is a good idea, for those who can use it. As said before, with Pre-2006 cars there is no JB for our engines. There is no chip tune for the M54 engine.
