That would be a smart move.
The V8 SC market will probably be saturated rather quick, due to the low numbers of V8 in europe.
Not to mention the numbers of V8 cars with a motorhead as owner
Anyhow, I would like to add forged pistons and conrods to lower the compression ratio. And realiability in the long run.
10.5:1 and overcharge it from 330hp to near 500Hp will leave the engine rather sensitive to knock.
Shell V-power 99oct will be mandatory

cool, impressive work ! a true motorhead
are you a mechanic by trade or just a genius amateur ?
I?m just an amateur who spent many sleepless nights in the garage, welding, grinding, measuring etc.. and scratching my head thinking; how the h..l shall I get theese parts together?

no need...you have 2 VF dealers in the UK !

seriously, someone from VF engineering should arrange a similar opening deal here in Europe - before ESS tuning release their equivalent SC for the V8 in November.

agree, I think this would put me on the verge of signing up (after understanding facts & figures), otherwise I'd be looking at shipping costs and tax on top... hmmmm
My worry is that I'm a traffic light racer and constantly hammer 1st, 2nd, 3rd and I know for a fact I'd still be doing this with a SC on - I think the SC would quicken the inevitable

Where will they be able to sell their SC kit for 545i/550i, if not on E60 forum?
They should give us a good discount (-15% on the price listed on their site?) .
At the end I am still waiting for a price in ? for the part not installed; plus I would like to know *what* the kit would include (it really steath? Is there an additional radiator?) .

My worries are a) spinning at the traffic light (but the quaife helps to start better than stock configuration) b) new rear tires every 3 months c) tickets d) collisions due to the slow other people (many cars have only 100-150 HP and they travel slowly compared to us V8/V8 supercharged users) e) lowest range due to the major consumption.
At the end HP from 360 to 520 are useless HP.. Our car already goes at 290 kmh.. So the kit has to be well done, reliable and cheap in my opinion.
And someone begin to prepare a 'Supercharged' badge

I already have... had it since I was looking at supercharging my 540i (VF eng 415bhp kit) many moons ago... maybe I will get to use it this time round...?
