For the people that have changed out your brake pads.....did you lube the guide pin bolts? If so what did you use?
The "how 2" I read said to just clean the guide pin bolts, and not to lube, which I find weird. I've always greased guide pin bolts on other cars, why not on these cars?

I used coastal Moly grease found at autozone, not too pricey. pictured in this link https://5series.net/forums/topic/102...1#entry1222231
Clean them off and give them a pinkys worth of grease. I also lube or antiseize the areas where the pads slide in the carrier and where they press into(piston area)

Check it out here..... https://5series.net/forums/index.php...attach_id=7262
Page 2, it says under INSTALLATION: "Only clean guide screws; do not grease."
Can anyone explain why it says this?
