Hi,
I've recently bought a 2006 530e and 2 days in someone ripped my driver side mirror out (with part of the wiring), welcome to the world of BMW owners I guess...
The mirror that was in it was the self-dimming kind but they are around 300£ on eBay (for broken ones) so I just got a standard heated mirror glass for 10£ to replace it. I do need the cable to hook up the heating though
I have attached pictures to show you how my connector looks like. I'm not sure what cable I'm looking for here, eBay seems to only have cables for X6 E71/E72 2008-2014 but they look like they could fit. Can I just try them or would it mess with the electronics?

Do you mean you want to wire in a non-OEM mirror? You'd need a wiring diagram and then hope it doesn't throw any codes afterwards.
