I have a 2004 525i. I need to replace both front headlights. The right headlight projector gets stuck at times facing the sidewalk. I have adaptive headlights that use D2S bulbs. I fould a used set of heaflights from a 2007 530i, but I know the 2007 pre-lci used D1S buls. Will this headlights work on my 2004 since mine are D1S bulbs.

 

y don't u just retrofit to lci heads? they look so much better and ur gonna be paying nearly as much for pre lci xenons anyways

 

It should be a direct swap. Your harness should accept the newer D1S ballast and bulbs!

 

Let us know if this works as i have a set of used xenon headlights which take D1S bulbs. I am planning on selling them so it will open up the options if older cars can take them as well.

 

I thought you also need the new light control module + programming if you want to change to LCI w\adaptive xenons from Pre-lci???
