Funny part is after reading this post and then posting I took a moment to think, and I went and put my California plate back on the front. All this ticket talk has me thinking I have tested my luck too long.

i'm never removing my dealer plate and registration card taped to the window. My buddie has been doing that for 7 years on his audi and he lives in glendale. Anyone who frequents that area can tell you glendale cops are no joke.

Another option is to upgrade the whole bumper with a M-tech bumper. Just a thought.
Only thing is that now I don't really have the cash, but certainly one I will entertain going forward.

I just purchased Bumper Plugs at www.bumperplugs.com for the two holes in my 550i that I just purchased from a dealership in Chicago.
