1) How is painting the stock calipers better? To show that you have what, tiny calipers but now it's cool cause it's in a shiny color??
its not the size of the caliper that counts, its if it performs its function well, and yes mine does its job quite well

Oooh lala...>FemBo's (Fake-Ass Brembos!)

Interesting analogy regarding the ACS kits. Now replica (fake) ACS spoilers are one thing - in the end, it's still a spoiler/kit that does the exact same function (though the sticker is fake Louis Vuitton-ish).. Stick on Brembo covers are a hole other catagory - they do nothing functional, are tacky and prone to falling off, and are the ultimate in poseur accessories! Kinda like sticking that "R" badge on a Civic, or that "M5" badge on a 5xx

Because the stock calipers are all nasty looking from all the oe brake pad dust build up....atleast mine are from the previous owner. You don't have to paint the calipers a bright color to "showcase" them, but painting them a muted color like gloss black would sure make them look better than un-painted. Just an opinion.
As far as those plastic Brembo covers...atleast they look better than those smooth flat covers that I've seen.....still wouldn't put them on mine though
I wonder if they cover the WHOLE caliper or if you will still be able to see the caliper...thats what would make it look cheesy
