I will be refunding in full unless the headlights arrive broken. I will take photos on the return.

gbjules: haha, I don't know, maybe because I am a nice guy I guess.

And Umnitza + Matt: that'll be fine. I had the package insured. Shipping was $80 + $20 something for insurance.

No this is typical of people who do not really care about their customers.

It seems that the only reason why you are being treated properly now and having your issue really resolved reasonably is because you put public pressure on umnitza.

Umnitza, You are doing the right thing but you needed to be willing to do this without him resorting to making a public post

Do the right thing next time without driving your customer crazy otherwise you will lose ALL of your business on here very quickly.

Trinity offers the same rep kit now and bends over backwards for a customer that needs some help.

Remember that

Nah. Guys, I am a business person as well, so I can relate some of the frustration on the seller's end. And again, maybe I am a bit naive, or gullible, but I do give chances and opportunities.

An important lesson I learned from my uncle is to always give chances, because you'll never know when you'll need a chance from other people.

So yeah, I will keep everyone posted to what happens. UPS is bound to deliver the return tomorrow, so we'll go from there.

Thanks for all your input guys.

Now, I want to update this a little.

I have sent my lights back for a refund, with a OMG shipping cost of $100.

Matt has made me an offer that if I send him the ballast ($280 w/ lamp holders as well) that I purchased elsewhere, he will waive the 20% restocking fee. (The lights cost $1299)
I've been following this thread with interest and I see that Matt has offered to refund you the full purchase price. I was a little confused about the logic of sending $280 in merchandise to cover what would be a $260 restocking fee and which, in any case, does not appear to be justifiable under the circumstances. I am curious in any case how the vendor would be losing money if he did not charge the restocking fee, unless this will be passed on to him from whomever he purchased the parts. If this is all taking place in house, isn't a restocking fee simply intended to address return of special orders and time to re-shelve, etc.?

Matt, I do appreciate it. If, like these member suggest, you decide to imburse me for the return shipping, that would be cool. Otherwise I am fine with absorbing the cost of shipping. As I said, we all hate to lose money, obviously, haha.

Anyway, I would like to think I am logical and rational, and would definitely put this behind me. As far as I am concerned, I would give Umnitza another go for future orders. After all, Matt is making an effort to make this right, and I definitely appreciate it.
VERY understanding customer.

I think umnitza should AT LEAST reimburse half if not full shipping costs. It's not like the shipping is $10. it's $100.
