I have the same wheels with spacers. Cleaning is easy. Just take a soft sponge and use lots of water pressing the sponge in the wheel. 1/2 hour for 4 wheels and they shine like crazy.

The wheels dont look good on pics but in real life they are impressive. Very happy with them. Good mix between sporty and classy.

[quote name='Hobart' date='Oct 9 2005, 08:31 PM']Could you post another shot of a full side photo? I thought I didn't like so many spokes on the E60, but that looks nice. Need to see a side shot to make up my mind.

Thanks Hobart. I am not sure what sort of side shot would make things clearer. But, if you will tell me exactly what you want, then I'll do my best to get the shot. Incidentally, I think that the sides of the 5-series are so massive that more spokes of the relatively thin variety tend to be better than fewer. Otherwise there are too many wide-open areas.

Thanks for the cleaning idea. And, yes, knowing the wheels, a soft sponge would be perfect. Interesting though. The 101's take the same or less daily effort than the factories--which are very easy, themselves. I am not sure what iit is about the design that makes it so. But, I wipe the obvious dust off daily since I have to wash my car very seldomly (i.e., not water or snow on the roads--mainly dust to contend with). It takes 5 or so minutes to dust the 101's daily.

Hi Don,

Yes the hum was there only on certain surfaces. But you had to listen really carefully. The guys at Tirerack said the tyres need a few hundred miles to properly wear in.

Any way I have done 700km on mine & they are amazing. Of course there will always be surfaces that are noisy to drive on with any tyre, but on 90% of the roads I drive on the tyres are really quiet, and very smooth.

Enjoy!
I think I missed your comment above before. My dealership said almost the same thing--that it might take a hundred or so miles for everything to settle down given the PS2's.

Actually the first time I looked I didn't see the first photo in your series of photos that you pasted into your post. Maybe it didn't download. Anyway, that was the shot I was looking for.

Always loved those 101's. Great choice on the tires as well. Oh to live in a warm climate all year round. Must be nice.

Thanks poleposition. Yes, it's generally good in Phoenix, but, dry heat or not, 115 F is hot if you are in the sun for long.
